Tere tulemast. Welcome.

A small community with deep roots in the top end.

Founded

Incorporated 10 June 2020 in Darwin, Northern Territory.

Purpose

Friendship, culture, and care — for Estonians and friends of Estonia.

Open to all

Free from political or religious alignment. Everyone welcome.

Our purpose

Small in number.
Generous in spirit.

We exist to keep Estonian language and culture alive in the Northern Territory — and to welcome anyone, of any background, who'd like to share in it.

i.

Friendship across cultures

Bringing together Estonians and other nationalities living in the Northern Territory. Old friends, new friends, and everyone in between.

ii.

Welcome and settlement

Helping Estonian migrants find their feet — practical help, a familiar voice, and the warmth of community when settling into a new home.

iii.

Language and culture

Sharing the cultural life of Estonia: language, music, traditions, and the stories that come with them — without political or religious alignment.

iv.

Care for one another

A not-for-profit association of a benevolent nature. We support members in need and contribute to charitable causes that benefit the wider community.

Estonian Independence Day

Marking Estonia's declaration of independence with shared food, music, and a few words — the most important date in our calendar.
